Your win condition
How your team wins, and playing for it.

« Each team comp is a recipe with its own cooking time. At loading, ask: are we stronger early or later? Then cook your dish, not theirs. »
- Late game: farm, don't force
Your carry gets stronger later. You farm, your items come in, and nobody takes the fights they offer.
- Early team: snowball now
Your team is strongest now: all five on the dragon, then straight on to a tower, before they catch up.
- Pick: catch one out of place
Your team waits in the fog. An enemy walks into your jungle alone: caught before help arrives, it's 5 v 4.
- Siege: poke before you fight
From range, your team chips their tower and their health. They have to fight hurt, or give up the tower.
- The classic mistake
You have a siege team, but you walk into the 5 v 5 their composition wants. You play their game and lose the fight.
When to do it
- Your carry gets stronger later: play safe, farm, and don't force the fights they offer.
- Your team is strongest early: snowball now, take objectives before the enemy catches up.
- Your team can catch or poke: catch someone out of position, or chip their towers before any fight.
How to keep it
- From the loading screen, ask yourself: when is my team stronger than theirs, and how does it fight?
- Before each objective, pick the move that fits your plan: farm, group, set a trap or siege.
- Look at what they want (a 5 v 5, catching you alone) and don't give it to them.
The tip for your rank
One question at loading: are we stronger early, or later? Early: fight for objectives now. Later: farm and don't force.
Also read how your team fights: catching, poke and siege, or a head-on teamfight. Pick your fights so they look like that.
Knowing both win conditions tells you what to refuse: every fight you decline on their terms is time won for your plan.
