The peel
Protecting your carry from the enemies who jump on them.

« Keep your carry alive and the whole fight stays on its feet: stay beside them, and save your crowd control for whoever dives in, not their tank. »
- Stay by your carry
The fight starts: you stay next to your carry, not up front with the tanks. Anything that reaches them is in your range.
- The diver jumps
Their jungler jumps on your carry. Your crowd control is still up: you kept it for exactly this.
- Your CC on the diver
You land it on him: he can't move or hit. Your carry turns around and kills him.
- Stand in the way
Their support throws a skill shot at your carry: you step into its path and take it instead.
- The classic mistake
You go in alone and spend your crowd control on their tank. Their diver jumps your carry, alone: your carry dies.
When to do it
- Their team has divers: assassins, champions that jump in: your carry is their target, you're the answer.
- Your carry is ahead: keeping them alive is worth more than any kill you could get up front.
- The fight starts: your place is next to your carry, not in front with the tanks.
How to keep it
- Stay close: close enough that anything reaching your carry is in your range.
- Keep your crowd control for the divers: a stun on their tank does little; on the assassin jumping your carry, it saves the fight.
- Block with your body: stand in the way of the skill shots aimed at your carry.
The tip for your rank
In a fight, stay next to your carry. When an enemy reaches them, that's the one you hit with everything.
Before the fight, spot their divers: the one who jumps, the one who dashes. Your crowd control waits for them.
If your carry outdamages theirs, your job is to keep them alive, not to find the engage: peel wins the fights your carry can win.
