The slow push
Let your wave pile up, then crash a huge one.

« Patience, the wave is simmering: kill only their casters, let it grow, then serve it piping hot on their tower. »
- Only their casters
Near the middle of the lane, you finish only their casters, at the back. Their melee minions stay: your wave is the bigger one.
- Your wave piles up
It walks forward slowly, and your next wave catches up with it: two waves in one.
- A huge wave crashes
The stack reaches their tower. Too many minions to catch: your opponent loses a lot of them, or has to stay.
- Your move
While the tower chews through the stack, you're free: back, roam, or dive with your jungler.
- The classic mistake
You kill their melee minions first and crash right away: a small wave, cleared by a few tower shots. No stack, no time.
When to do it
- You want to back or roam a bit later: the stack crashes while you're away, and your opponent loses minions or has to stay.
- You want to dive with your jungler: a big wave under their tower takes its shots for you.
- An objective is coming: time the stack to crash just before, and your opponent is stuck in lane.
How to keep it
- Start near the middle of the lane, with the waves even or yours ahead.
- Kill their casters, leave their melee minions: your wave stays bigger and walks forward slowly.
- Let the next wave catch up, then help the stack crash.
The tip for your rank
One idea: in the middle of the lane, finish only the casters at the back. Your wave does the rest.
Count on two or three waves: start the slow push early enough for the big wave to crash when you want to leave.
A stacked wave is a tool: crash it, then back, roam or dive. Your opponent either loses a lot of minions or his place on the map.
