Tower plates
Extra gold on the first towers, until 14:00.

« Fascinating, a tower that hands out gold! But only while your minions soak up its shots: with none in front, you pay for the plate in health. »
- Plates, until 14:00
Their first tower wears plates. Each one broken pays your team's champions nearby. At 14:00, they fall off.
- Your opponent is gone
They back (or they're dead): nobody is left to punish you for hitting their tower.
- Your wave tanks, you hit
The tower shoots your minions, not you. You hit it: a plate breaks, and its gold is yours.
- 14:00: the plates fall
The plates left fall off, and their gold with them. Your last minion dies: you step out of range.
- The classic mistake
You hit the plates alone: with no minion in front, the tower shoots you. Their jungler, unseen, comes to finish the job.
When to do it
- Your opponent is dead or backing: nobody's there to punish you for hitting the tower.
- Your wave is under their tower: the minions take the tower's shots, you take the plate.
- Before 14:00: after that, the plates fall off and their gold is gone.
How to keep it
- Push the wave first, then walk in behind it.
- Hit the tower only while your minions are in front: step out as soon as the last one dies.
- Know where their jungler is: if you can't see him, keep an eye on the river and don't overstay.
The tip for your rank
Simple rule: your opponent just died or backed, and your wave is at their tower? Hit the tower.
Build your backs around the plates: crash the wave, take a plate while your opponent is away, then back.
Plates are where a lane lead turns into gold: every kill or forced back before 14:00 should end with your wave under their tower and a plate taken.
